Hope you are doing well. 

It has been a busy month and finally today I have the opportunity to write.

Before I write further, I want to ask you a question.  What is success to you?

Is success means making millions of dollars?

Is success means becoming rich?

Is success means owning multi-millions businesses?

Is success means raising healthy and happy children?

Is success means that you have a successful career?

Or is success means that you are happy with what you are doing and are happy with your life?

In my opinion different people would have different opinion about success.  Some people would consider themselves as successful when they earn millions of dollars or have their own successful businesses.  Some people would consider themselves as successful when their children are happy and successful themselves while others consider themselves as successful when they are able to help as many people as they can.

So you see… Different people have different definition on success and there is no right and wrong answers.

What’s may seems successful to me, may not seem successful to you and vice versa.

However whatever definition and opinion you have about success, one thing that we have in common is that when you and I want to achieve whatever success we want; we need to work for it.

We need to have determination, persistance, believe in ourselves and overcome any challenges and obstacles until we achieve the success that we have been dreaming about.  We need to be focus and not let our eyes off our goals until the day we successfully achieve it.

Therefore no matter whats success means to you, you have to do all you can to achieve that success.

Like what Vince Lombardi said, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”

Recently I had the opportunity to attend a seminar in Singapore where I met people from all over the world and most of them are people from all around Asia. 

My new friends from all over the world

These people are successful in their own ways.  Some of them are successful parents, directors, managers, trainers, sales persons, husbands and even wifes.  All of them are working their very best in the things that they believe in and are good at what they are doing.

All of them have a number of things in common:

1.  Believe in themselves.

2. Determination.

3. Persistence.

4. Doing the best that they can.

5. Good heart.

And they all come from different part of this world.

So you see, you can be anywhere in this world but when you want to be successful, you will need to have the same attitude as anyone in any part of the world that already are successful.

My last post was on 8th February 2010 and it had been almost 3 weeks before I got the chance to write something today

I had been travelling these past few weeks and I am going to travel again tomorrow.

I must start to think about having a team as what I discussed before :-0

Well, the truth is I already started to form some kind of mastermind group.  These people are the one promoting my trainings now.  So currently I am leaving to these people to do what they are good at… doing marketing and I doing what I am good at, talking to people, do presentations and inspiring people

So the next thing I need to think about is having a team for my internet marketing…

You see when you surround yourself with experts, people who are good at what they are doing; your life becomes easier and you will start achieving what you want to achieve.

Because nobody is actually good at doing everything themselves.  It’s good to know what you want others to do for you but doing the real job, you got to leave it to the experts.

All successful people had some kind of mastermind group.  It does not have to be a big group; two people can also form a mastermind group.  So it is not that difficult…isn’t it?

So take the actions now!  If you need to form a group to help you be successful then do it, what are you waiting for.  But one thing you must remember is that if you want people to help you be successful, you must also be ready to help these people be successful too.   So that everyone can become successful

So if you want to be successful start taking actions.  Do what you already plan to do; don’t just stop at planning stage ok, keep moving.  There will be a lot of obstacles and challenges of course but never ever give-up.

Some of them even wanted to give-up or already given up and there are many of them who become discourage.  A lot of them that came to me and said “My dreams are worthless, there is no point to carry on.” or “Life is not fair, why everybody else find an easy way while I have to go through a hard way.”

Well, the truth is achieving dreams is never an easy path.  There will always be obstacles, challenges and roadblocks.  Because if the path you are going through is so easy it may not be a dream that is worth pursuing. 

Why???

Because these obstacles, challenges and roadblocks are the things that make us grow.  These are the things that that teach us about life, teach us to be someone better.  These are the things that remind us of our roots, where we come from when we are at the top.  These are the things that remind us to help others to be at the top with us.  These are the things that give us strengths even when we are already successful because there are always challenges even when we are already at the top.

There is a saying that goes, “Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” – Mathama Gandhi.

So to those who came to me and said that they are giving up because they encounter with to many rejections, they are fed-up being rejected,  what I say is, “Reject rejection.”  Think of it this way, there must be a good reason why it happens.  Maybe the boss is not as good as you see him externally, maybe the job is not the best as it seems to be, maybe you are going to create a better product that will make your a millionaire because of these rejections or maybe this is the turning point for you to take better steps. 

And remember this, when the time comes that something that you want, will want you.  So never ever give-up.

How are you today?  Hope that you are happy

Last week I was in Singapore for 3 days attending a seminar.  It was a very intensive seminar where it started at 9:00 a.m. and ended at 11:00 p.m.

Wow! I was so exhausted! 

Though it had been a tiring three days…  It had been a very informative three days and I met a lot of new friends.  Some of them are establish trainers, best selling authors, business men, managers, students and even millionaires

In the 3 days, I had conversations with quite a number of people.   During these conversations I found there were a lot of different opinions.  For example, some of them did find these three days seminar a waste of time and money as although there had been a lot of information given; there were also a lot of promotional for the organizer’s other products.  I had to agree with that, I even able to identify when the promotional begun and at what time :-0

There were also people who said that there were too many dancing and clapping instead of information.

There were also people who said that they learned a lot in these three days seminar and able to get great bargains in purchasing other of the organizer’s products.

There are even people who found their soulmate during these three days

You see what I am trying to say? Same place, same environment, same time, same situation but different acceptance.

All these people were sitting in the same convention center, at the same time, listening and seeing the same thing.  However each and everyone of them accepted what had been delivered differently and formed their own opinions. Some liked it and some don’t.

It is the same with our goals.  Most of us have the same goals such as becoming successful in our career, make a lot of money, become a millionaire, become financially abundance, famous etc.

However not all of us are achieving our goals. Some people are only dreaming of these goals and these goals become dreams that never become realities.

Why do these happen?  Because

1. Don’t know what to do to achieve the goals

2. Never take any actions

3. Give-up when encounter with challenges

4. Not determine enough to achieve the goals set

5. Fear of failure

6. Fear of too much work

7. And many more other excuses…

These are some of the excuses that separate losers from achievers.

Achievers do not give excuses why they could not achieve their goals, they give excuses of why they will achieve their goals.  If the achievers see that what they are doing are not moving them towards their goals, instead of complaining and giving excuses; they find different ways to make things work.  They also keep saying positive things to motivate themselves to move forward.

So which groups are you in?  Only you have the answer

If you are not ok, you would not be reading my post now.  So I know that you are doing great.

Today is not going to be a long one as I am in the middle of preparing for the training that I am going to do for government’s officer on Thursday.

How are you today? 

I am doing fine.  Been busy marketing my workshop on 27th June 2009 among other things

Speaking of my workshop, I changed the title a bit – from “Understanding and Enhancing Your Children Capabilities Through Their Handwriting” to “Teaching Your Children To Write Like The Successful People“.

Why?

Because I want to teach you the correct way of making the strokes in the handwriting so that you could go home and teaching your children to do the same.  Additional to that you could also monitor their progress.  It is one good way to further tighten the relationship between parents and children

The contents of the workshop will be the same as the “Understanding and Enhancing Your Children Capabilities Through Their Handwriting” with one additional, I am going to teach you in details how to write the right way.

Truthfully I could make a lot of money organising a workshop to teach the children instead.  Just imagine how many children a family has?  The first time round the parents may be sending just one children to the workshop.  When the parents see the results of this workshop, they are going to send the rest of their children…

But that not what I have in mind…  I really want to make sure that all children to grow-up to be successful and also their parents.

Why am I doing this?

Because

1.  I want you to understand yourselves better (although you might say that you already know yourselves too well) so that you could make improvement wherever needed.  Even if you are already a perfect person, there is always rooms for improvement.  That is why we are call human.

3.  Have a look at the handwriting sample below.  This is the handwriting sample of Thomas Edison.  I always like to use his handwriting as a sample even in my trainings.  This is because his handwriting shows a lot of success traits that he had.

His handwriting shows that he got determination, high self-esteem, high goals and persistence.  There are also others positive traits but these four are the successful traits that are needed to be successful.

And do you know what is the most common traits that successful people shared?  Determination.  We need to have determination to be successful (that gives me an idea for my next article – watch out for it)

4. Children’s personalities are still in the development stage where they like to copy people that they idolise, admire or like such as singer, friends, actor and many others.  They like to copy in terms of cloth, the way they talk or the way they walk and even the handwriting. 

Like I always said every stroke in the handwriting represent a personality.  Therefore if what they are copying is positive then it should be alright.  However if it is negative ….

So when you know about the basic of handwriting analysis and you teach this to your children, you need to monitor them.  At least every three months to see if there is any negative trait they might have copy.  If they have you would be able to teach them to change.  Unless you have forgotten what you have learn.  However if you practise, there would be no way that you would forget

Hope you all are doing fine

It has been more than a week since I last wrote.

The reason is that I was busy updating my website at http://www.amazingwriting.com .  Go there, there are a lot of new information added about handwriting analysis that are useful to you.  I am confident about that

Why am I organising this workshop?

Well, I am not a parent yet but I have a lot of nieces and nephews therefore I understand what you parents are going through.

These are some of the situations that you might encounter….

Your children do not want to listem to what you said however when it comes to their friends, they would do anything for their friends.

You do not understand why is it so difficult for your children to understand a simple maths problem and yet they could build the aeroplane model you bought them.

You find that your children are very bright and yet their class teachers keep complaining that they are the one who creates problems in class.

You sense that your children are having problems however you do not know how to talk to them as when you asked; they said, “No problem.”

You are worried about your daughter dating a guy that your gut feeling couldn’t trust and yet you do not have a way to prove this.

And there are much more….

Well, you are good parents.  You are always worried about your children.  You want the best for your children and yet you respect them as a human being.  You want to help them make the right decision and yet you want them to be able to survive on their own.

Everybody could see that…  That’s why I said you are good parents.

That’s why I am going to share with you a way to develop your children. You are going to understand your children better, from a different angle, your children will respect you for that, you improve your relationships with them and you will even develop yourself to be a better person during this process.

And how am I going to do that?  Through their handwriting

Let’s take a simple example so that you would understand.

Your son doesn’t understand the math problems that you are teaching him.  To you the problems are so simple and yet you son couldn’t get it.  You repeat on the solution so many times and yet he still couldn’t understand.  In the end, he lose his interest, set in his mind that maths are not for him and you get frustrated.

However when you analyse his handwriting, you find that his thinking pattern is to learn things step-by-step.  He needs to learn starting from page one, go to page two and so on…  He could not miss a step or he would not understand at all.  He would understand things better if he could do it himself instead of just standing there looking at other people do it. 

However once he understands the problem or the subject, he could remember it for a very long time and would be able to build other things from this understanding.

Additional to this, his handwriting shows that he doesn’t believe in himself.  He doesn’t believe that he is capable of doing things.  Therefore when he does not understand things or people are pushing him to move forward fast, his mind just goes blank.

Once you understand your son personality, you would be able to help your son.

The first thing you need to do to make him understand his maths problems is to go to the chapter where your son begins to not understand the subject.  From there you can begin to teach him step-by-step on the subject.  Once he begins to understand, let him practise on his own so that he would understand the subject much better.  Once he understand, you could let him, build his own method of learning so that it would be easier for him to learn the related subject.

You could also meet with his teacher, explain and find the best solution so that both of you could help him.

You also need to talk in a positive way to your son to increase his self-esteem. 

There had been researches done to show that one of the reason why people have low self-esteem is due to the people i.e. family members when they were a child kept using negative words to communicate. 

What are the negative words?  “You could not have everything you want” ,”Why are you so stupid?”. “You are so slow!”, “This is so simple, why can’t you get it.” and many other words.

Sometimes these words were being said by people who love them the most.  They were saying these not because they didn’t love their children but because they loved them.  They thought they were doing the right thing as they didn’t want their children to get hurt or they tried to motivate children to become better persons. However they didn’t realise that if these words are used too often, they would become a poison to ones mind and this is one of the reason why the children’s self-esteem reduced.  These words become more fatal if you could find sensitive to criticism and self-catisgation traits in the handwriting. 

In the end when the childre grew-up, they would not believe that they have the capabilities to achieve things.

Therefore you should start to use positive words when communicating to your son especially when you want to motivate him.

Wait! Don’t shut down your computer yet …  I am saying good night as it is already 11:48 p.m. (according to my computer’s clock) in Malaysia.  So I am wish those who are in this side of the earth good night and on the other side good day

I was planning to write a long post this time however as I am rushing to complete my last minute preparation for a training next week, I have to cut this post short. 

For your information I was invited to give the basic of handwriting analysis training to a group of HR Managers so that they could use the knowledge to guide them in selecting new employees in their company.  The training would not certified them as certified handwriting analysts however they will have the general knowledge on the people they are going to hire into their company.

Of course there are other personality tools that could be use and handwriting analysis is one of the tools that could be use. When you use handwriting analysis to determine the personality of the writer, the writer does not have to know that they are being analysed.

In the NLP course I learned about how to overcome phobia, resolve conflict, anchoring, rapport, associate and dissociate, increase positive believe and many, many more patterns.  I even had the opportunity to walk my timeline which gave me a new perspective on my goals and life purpose.
