I was actually planning to write about something else.  However while writing, an idea just struck me.  So I thought of writing this one first while it is still fresh in my mind.

I was in Kuala Lumpur last week attending writer’s dialog with National Library Malaysia – Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia (if you had been following my blog you know that I am a writer and my first book is “Tulisan Cerminan Personaliti Diri” – click here to check-out the book).  There were a lot of writers especially the experienced one with more than five books written and some are bestseller authors attending this event. 

To me it was a great experience - meeting plus getting to know these experienced writers.  These experiences inspire me to write and publish a lot more books whether conventional or electronic books- whether it is about handwriting analysis, building online business or just about life.

When you write books whether the books are about life, business, motivation or even fiction, you are really delivering messages to the readers.  You are also teaching and sharing with people your fields of expertise.  Your expertise could varies from just about your life experience such as how you stop smoking, building businesses (check-out my eBook “Secret of Making Money with Positive Personality Revealed”), how to become a successful person, improving people’s life or even about how to make this world a better place to live-in. 

When you teach people these through your writings, you are not only teaching others; you are also teaching yourself.  Sometimes through your writings, you will realise things that you never realise before.

Let’s take me as an example.  Before I wrote “Secret of Making Money with Positive Personality Revealed” , I didn’t realise that writing blogs would be something crucial and important in driving traffic to your website.  However after a lot of researching, asking and experiencing it myself, I realised that writing a product review in a blog or more specific your blog is an important way to get your customer to get to know your product and even you better. 

I shared this information (among other things) in my “Secret of Making Money with Positve Personality Revealed” under Success Step 7: Driving Traffic (customer) to your website – page 47 item 3.

Even when I started to write in this blog sharing information with you, I actually am learning a lot too as I go along.  For example, when I wrote the product review for John Thornhill’s monthly mentorship; I realised that there are a lot of basic information shared that I may have overlooked when I first learned about internet marketing  (I now know how to re-direct a link in a more professional way) . So you see, as I write; I also learn.

I also learned more about eBay i.e. rules and regulation when I wrote the product review on John Thornhill’s 90 days PowerSeller as I was not into eBay when I first got John Thornhill’s 90 days PowerSeller.  In fact I am now considering eBay as another business options

Bottomline is that when you teach people, you are also teaching yourself.  So don’t be afraid that you may lose you knowledge just because you are teaching other whether it is through your writings or even through your lectures.  The truth is you are really gaining more; whether you realise it or not. 

Knowledge is something you would not lose just because you are sharing it with others however you will lose it if you don’t share.
