The True Meaning of Determination
We all have determination in us. The difference is how long will the determination last especially when faced with obstacles and roadblocks.
In my opinion there are a few types of determinations.
Some people would easily give-up when they saw the first sign of obstacles or roadblocks. They readily put up their hand and raised the white flag. These were the people who had a lot of reasons in their pockets of why they gave up. “I have a weak heart. I could not stand any excitement.”, “I am not good at it, let other people do it.” or ” This is way out of my league. This is not my thing.” And many more other reasons of why they gave-up. The thing is, there’s always a reason.
There are also people who were very determined from the start, they did not gave-up at the first sign of obstacles and roadblocks. They actually moved forward. They were liked warriors matching into battle. They faced the obstacles and roadblocks with bravery and diginity, overcoming whatever that came towards them. However as they matched forward, there were more obstacles and roadblocks, things got harder and they started to wonder whether they were doing the right things. Their spirit started to deteriorate and at one point they just stopped moving forward; they just gave-up.
What if the next step that they were supposed to take was the first sign where success will show-up? What if the next step that they were supposed to take was the point where all the losing stopped and all the winning started? They will never know as they never took that next step.
The third types of people were those who determined from the start and were determined until the end. These were the people who faced with all the obstacles and roadblocks and they kept moving until they achieved their goals. They would move around, under and over the roadblocks and obstacles until they achieved success. These are the successful people you see today.
So I am asking you today. Which type of people are you in? Would you do everything it takes (of course legally) to achieve your goals. Or would you rather stand at the sideline watching other people work hard to achieve their goals and cheer them when they succeed. Wouldn’t you prefer to hear your name being mentioned as an example when other people talk about successful people? Imagine how you would you feel at that time?
